Clannad: After (Episode 1)

Was changing the "Meg Mell" theme was to change how it would look like? I thought the conclusion was to worry about it. New series based on their own staff to provide me with a lot. Opening Galgle style did not change.

The school chapter, appeared only for a while. (When will Ushiho make an appearence?) In this section, Tomoya walks in a Flower garden in someone else's dream scenes recollections from the past. It is Tomoya's baseball that he and Nagisa became lovers that starts being acknowledged by their family and friends. It is a life quality in autumn. Tsute of the academy relies on Nagisa to find baseball players.

Matome Nakere have a story to say there may be, but Restraints on the original Kurabe guys to really be simply meet members of amateur baseball. However, Fuko did not participate. Nobody was favored by the minute, after almost no chance of it.

The part where Sunohara sexually harasses Tomoyo has a nice combo attack (lol). Sandlot baseball game, were injured back in autumn to the beach or go to the mound, no good Toco, Sunohara or superbrain pitches, and calculates the course and hit a Kotomi, the sadness of Tomoyo and the various ingredients for me to pick up Enjoyed it, but, after starting with Yusuke, Yusuke has hit all go to the theater feeling. Last time, two-out bases-loaded at-bats are coming around to the shoulder injury for Tomoya in a small way, but Nagina acheived a full swing. As Tomoya tries to hit the ball, he saw a light from another world that depicted ball of light and shadow, signifying the future development in the air.

In the following episode Sunohara tries to find someone to marry (lol).

Clannad: Tomoyo chapter (episode 24)

日本語

7 June 2008:

This episode is an alternate world of CLANNAD, where Tomoya and Tomoyo are going out with each other. The setting is the voting day for the student council election, where president candidate Tomoyo is set out on protecting the school greenery. As with each morning, Tomoya is woken up by Tomoyo, where the usual opening sequence starts.

At school, the results of the vote is announced over the PA system, where Tomoyo has been officially named president elect. With her responsibilities ahead of her, Tomoyo can no longer find time to spend her lunch break with Tomoya and Sunohara in their classroom, although she continues to make their lunch box.
However, Tomoyo inadvertently abuses her new-found authority over the PA system, telling Tomoya not to wait for her, setting off a controversy. One of Tomoyo's immediate duties is to prepare for the School Festival, as she is bombarded with work over the course of several days, where she is unable to make time to meet Tomoya. She attempts a secret rendevous by masquerading in her bear outfit, but she is found by a second year student council officer, who later gets into a skirmish with Tomoya, demanding him to break up with Tomoyo, for the sake of keeping her credibility as a president.

One day, one of the school alumnus who agreed to cooperative on preserving the cherry trees, witnessed Tomoyo coming out of Tomoya's house on the morning of a school day, and notifies the student council. The faculty express dismay over such actions, and compounded with the two's history for misbehavior, pressure Tomoya into distancing himself from Tomoyo.

Tomoya decides to break up with Tomoyo, but she doesn't buy his story, saying she's fine with the situation. Tomoyo finally gives in to Tomoya's persuasion, where they break up and head their own ways. Tomoyo not only goes about executing her duties as president, she excels in her academics, placing fourth in the school, prompting talks of overseas study as an exchange student. She's even depicted showcasing her skills at an English speech contest.

The ending credits appear as both Tomoya and Tomoyo receive their diplomas during graduation convocation. Tomoya finds employment at a local company while Tomoyo seeks higher education at the big city. Time flies, where it is already winter. With Lia's "Ana" in the background, Tomoya and Tomoyo meet each other on a snowy day. Tomoya confesses that he's a nobody who's stuck in town for the rest of his life, and doesn't deserve someone like Tomoyo, who can be successful anywhere in the world. Tomoyo digresses, saying only that if Tomoya wants her to stay, she'll be more than happy to oblige. Tomoyo cries in Tomoya's arms, where the story comes to and end.

New Summer 2008 Anime

日本語

With the spring season coming to a close, summer has started with shows like "The Tower of Duraga: The Aegis of Uruk" and "Library War" just ended and shows like "Code Geass: Leouch of the Rebellion R2", "To Love-Ru" being carried over. The spring season saw many anime being dropped, with most at the first episode and some like Persona -trinity soul- (Winter 2008), Special A, Kamen no Maid Guy with more than half-way through the series.

Besides "The Telepathy Girl Ran", which actually belongs under Spring Anime, there isn't much new anime that interest me, but nevertheless, I shall list them anyway. Since there isn't much that interest me, I'll just list them (shows that actually interest me are in bold):
  • Ultraviolet Code044
  • Sekirei
  • Slayers REVOLUTION
  • Someday’s Dreamers
  • Scarecrowman
  • Antique Bakery
  • Birdy the Mighty DECODE
  • Hidamari Sketch X 365
  • Strike Witches
  • Ryoko's Case File
  • Zero no Tsukaima ~Princesses no Rondo~

True Tears episode 1

[日本語 (Japanese)]

Nakagami Shinichirou, who wants to be a picture book author, is working on a story with the theme of tears. He’s frustrated because he wants to draw gentler pictures than he has done. When he heads downstairs, he finds Yuasa Hiromi working at a computer. Shinichirou has feelings for her. After dinner, he returns to his story and writes about collecting a person’s tears to make a necklace and decorate a tree. In his mind, Shinichirou develops an image of a girl standing under a giant tree. He then starts drawing. At school the next day, he watches Hiromi during gym class and gets teased by his friend Nobuse about it. After changing, Shinichirou hears a girl singing and traces the sound to a girl standing atop a tree branch by the school courtyard. As he stands there stunned by the view of her against the sunlight, the girl notices him and angers him by telling him not to look at her without asking. However, when he turns to walk away, she stops him and jumps on top of him.

As it turns out, the girl was there to get berries to feed the school’s two chickens. She feels that the chickens want to fly, and since they’re caged up, she wanted to give them a meal from a high place. The girl then compares how one of the chickens doesn’t try to fly to what she thinks are Shinichirou’s own problems flying, and he responds by ridiculing her flying analogy by saying that her head is light with air. This causes the girl to get angry, and she walks off after wishing unhappiness onto him. Shinichirou learns from Nobuse later that the girl is Isurugi Noe. Returning home, Shinichirou pays a visit to the family brewery where his father is too busy at work to talk with him. He remembers how Hiromi came to live with them after her father - who was his own father’s acquaintance - had died. Shinichirou had been in the same class as her since elementary school, and since she was always cheerful, he had been worried about her smile. As Shinichirou is thinking about this, Hiromi comes home, and the way she simply greets him before heading inside reminds him of the unhappiness that Noe had wished onto him.

That night, Shinichirou heads to his friend Andou Aiko’s home to practice a traditional dance before heading to her family’s imagawayaki store, and when he voices his frustration through a loud sigh, Aiko warns him that sighing will lead to unhappiness. She is concerned about him, but Shinichirou leaves as soon as Nobuse stops by the store. Back at home, Shinichirou notices that he smells bad, so he decides to take a bath. As he enters the bathroom, he found that Hiromi is already in the bathroom as she was changing. He rushes back out when he sees her, but to his surprise, it’s Hiromi who apologizes to him. Shinichirou thinks to himself that the normal reaction would have been screaming and calling him a pervert, and he’s frustrated at how she apologized. He ends up channeling this energy into making a chicken out of a box of tissues. The next morning, Shinichirou is sitting down to eat breakfast with Hiromi and his father when his mother walks in with a letter from a Tokyo publisher. She wants to know what he’s been hiding, but Shinichirou storms out without answering after grabbing the letter. Despite his mother’s protests, his father thinks that Shinichirou is his own person and doesn’t have to follow the family business.

The letter from the publisher turns out to be a rejection, and it once again reminds Shinichirou of the unhappiness Noe wished onto him. To get rid of this curse, he finds Noe, who is again up in the tree, and offers her a gift to take back what she said. She loves the chicken-shaped tissue box that he gives her and thinks that he can fly now. Afterwards, they head to the chicken pen. When they get there, they find the front of it broken open from what appears to have been a tanuki attack. Only the white chicken who can’t fly remains alive, and there’s blood on the ground, yet Noe feels that the black chicken flew away. Shinichirou thinks that she’s going to cry, but to his surprise, she doesn’t shed any tears despite how sad she sounds. As they walk together past the waterfront, Shinichirou comments on how strong she is, so Noe admits that she’s really sad, and the truth is that she’s unable to cry.

Vector Drawing

[日本語]

I watched BAMBOO BLADE the day before yesterday. There was this particular scene where it would look nice if I were to vectorise it. I spent most of the day doing this. It used to take longer until I discovered this "shortcurt".

Minami-ke episode 10: "Boy x Girl"

[日本語/Japanese]

Episode summary:
Chiaki’s friends bring up the Minami sisters’ names and how they are related to the seasons. When they mention another person who seemingly fills the missing gap, Touma, Chiaki decides to investigate. Upon seeing Touma, Chiaki first mistakes her for a guy. This becomes even more troublesome, as Touma is in the middle of an argument with a boy. When the boy refuses to lay his hands on Touma because she is a girl, she declares that she is a boy from now on. Chiaki prepares to leave after having seen enough, but she is suddenly knocked down by the boy that Touma pushed away. Chiaki gets an apology from Touma, but the two only start arguing more when Touma expresses that Chiaki is not that ladylike either. When Touma asks when Chiaki’s birthday is, Chiaki refuses to answer because of their relation to seasons. Chiaki is the fall, and Touma is the winter. Chiaki ends the argument by declaring herself the older sister, making her friends believe that Touma really has become Chiaki’s little brother. When Chiaki notices Touma’s appearance after school, she has Makoto preform a check for her.

While in class later, Makoto reveals to one of his friends that he has been learning how to cook. He goes on to show one of his techniques for preparing eggs, but is interrupted by the girls praising Chiaki. Makoto wonders why Chiaki is acting like she is good at cooking, so she states that it is because she is good at cooking. Makoto is weakened when Chiaki describes how she is always helping Haruka, but he turns to declare that Chiaki does not understand an egg’s soul. Makoto states that he truly understands because he is one with them, but when he invites Chiaki, he only gets a punch in the face.

When Haruka and Kana arrive home later, they find Chiaki with Touma in an awkward situation. They discover that Chiaki has brought Touma over as her little brother, but that she is actually a girl. Touma’s introduction is interrupted by Mako-chan’s entrance, but Touma recognizes him from somewhere. Makoto pulls Touma behind the curtains in panic, and explains to her why he needs to be a girl. He also brings up Touma’s need to be a boy, and makes her agree to keep this secret. When Touma returns to the table, she again starts declaring that she is a boy. Kana has her come over, and she lifts up her shirt to check this. She reveals that Touma is certainly a girl, if only more so than Chiaki. When Mako-chan continues to insist that she is a boy, Kana threatens to show him Touma’s chest too.

Later, Makoto declares to Kana and Touma that he will finally reveal to Haruka and Chiaki that he is a boy. When Kana describes her relation to Makoto, she and Touma notice that their names are like “mom” and “dad”. Makoto prepares to confess when Haruka and Chiaki return home, but Chiaki accidentally bites herself. A long silence is caused when Haruka starts applying lip balm to Chiaki’s lips, but Kana hurries Makoto. Makoto is once again interrupted by Haruka applying lip balm to his lips, but he finally declares that he is actually a boy. Haruka and Chiaki are not fazed at all, however, as they go to prepare dinner. Touma discovers that they only believe that Mako-chan is an ally of her own situation, so she suggests to Makoto that he may never return to being a boy.

Makoto finally gets all the details of his failure from Touka at school, so he decides to confess to Chiaki alone. When he fails the first time because of his direct approach, Touma tells him to do it more properly. Makoto returns to confess to Chiaki on his knees, but this only makes Chiaki kick him in the face. Later at the Minami household, Makoto still troubles about his confession. He prepares to transform as usual, but Haruka and Chiaki return at that moment. The two quickly get under the kotatsu because of the cold weather outside, causing trouble for Makoto who is hiding underneath. Kana begins kicking Makoto for fun, making Chiaki and Haruka wonder what she is doing. After watching a Ninomiya-kun special, Kana decides to have Touma preform her own magic. As Makoto is by her side for savior, Touma begins putting Makoto’s clothes underneath the kotatsu. Mako-chan amazingly appears afterwards, but Haruka and Chiaki are only slightly surprised.

Impressions:
I'm not sure if Touma is their sibling/cousin apart from having the same family name and in the same year. (Though I don't know the real age difference between Touma and Chiaki). Also, when I first saw Touma (from behind), I would easily mistake her as a crossdresser, since she looks and behaves very much like a guy but wearing the female school uniform. Makoto crossdress again as Mako-chan. Touma, Kana, and one of his classmates are now the only ones who knows Mako-chan's true identity. Seeing that "Minami-ke: Okawari" is due to start in the Winter 2008 season (just next month), I wouldn't be surprised (though sad) if this is one of the last few episodes of this version.

Sorry for not writing for the past few months. Was busy with school stuff and coming up with stuff for this (and the japanese language version) blog. I decided to try review some of the anime I watched recently and see how it turns out. Now that the December/Winter/Christmas break comming closer, I have more time to do things. Also, if you have noticed, I have managed to change the allignment and remove the [center] tags from the title. Also made major changes to 2 of my friendster profiles. At the current rate, the 1st and 2nd profiles may reach the limit (2999 people the last I heard).

watermarks of my drawings

For various reasons (including people copying and problems with the older ones), i have decided to add watermarks on drawings before 2 August 2007 and those after it, although those before 9 October 2007 are drawn by hand and had date drawn, my Yahoo! Japan email address, and a full url to the Japanese version of this blog.

I'm not sure if I have already mentioned this somewhere but since that incident, I have removed all my drawings from the imageshack server that do not have info relating to me (like blog url, email or nickname). Of course, this means my posts containing the old url cannot be displayed.

All drawings from date of this post have my 3rd friendster & myspace, japanese version of this blog, my new blog told from a viewpoint of a (fictional) japanese girl (still unsure on the content) urls. (with "http://www." omitted) All will be in text form. Existing ones will be covered over but remain visible as not to spoil much of the drawing..

Here's a (not so good) example:
Before:

After:

Typed text are neater than handwritten ones, but if both are used at the same time, they don't look neat. Even worse if they are on top of each other. Images that i removed due to that and did not reupload immidately are added back (with the new watermark). All uploaded drawings can be found in the media box of my 3rd friendster account.
